Personally Identifiable Information

We may collect personally identifiable information from you, such as your name, email address, physical address, phone number, credit card number, gender, birthday, your children’s names, and your children’s gender when you order products through one of our websites or by phone; purchase our products in our stores; save your information with us online; sign up to receive promotional materials over email or in the mail; or participate in a contest, promotion or survey. Some of the personally identifiable information we collect from you, such as your name, address, phone number, email address, and credit card information, is required in order to process your online order, respond to your requests, and contact you about your order, if necessary. Other information we may request is optional information, which you may choose not to provide, but which helps us make relevant suggestions and offers to you based on your shopping history, children’s ages, etc.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

We also collect non-personally identifiable information when you use our website that enables us to enhance your shopping experience by tailoring information to fit your personal taste and interests, such as the information about your product interests and purchases. Do we collect information from children under the age of 13?

No. Protecting children’s privacy is extremely important to us. Our websites are not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not intentionally collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13. As described above, we may collect and maintain some limited information about children (such as name, age and gender) for the purposes of sending targeted offers, promotions and other information to their parent or legal guardian who voluntarily provided such information.

All personally identifiable information collected through this website and offline is collected and maintained by Carter’s, Inc. on behalf of The Genuine Canadian Company and is stored by Carter’s, Inc. in the United States, regardless of the geographic location or country where the information originated. Please note that under U.S. laws, in certain circumstances courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies or security authorities in the U.S. may be entitled to access your personal information. If you do not consent to your personally identifiable information being collected and maintained in the United States, then you should not enter such information through our websites.

We love to hear about all of your family’s big and little changes! Is your family growing, or have you moved? Simply sign in to your account at www.Carters.com or www.OshKoshBgosh.com to change your personal information in your account profile at any time.

You can also ask us to update your information by contacting us at 888-782-9548, sending us an email, or dropping us a note at Carter’s Consumer Affairs, 206 State Street, Oshkosh, WI 54901. Please note that any request to update your information may take up to 10 business days to process.

 
How do I choose not to receive promotional communications?

If you decide you no longer want to receive promotional materials from us, such as emails or mailers containing information about our special offers and events, you can opt out at any time. You may unsubscribe from receiving any future promotional emails from us by clicking “subscription centre” in any emails you receive from us. To opt out of receiving other promotional materials from us, please contact our Privacy Officer as described below. Your patience is appreciated as it takes approximately 10 business days to remove your name from our email list and approximately 8 – 10 weeks to remove your name from our direct mailing list.

 
How secure is my information with you?

Our Coremetrics site usage statistics system allows you to view or change your profile. There are 3 different levels of data collection:

Change your current opt-out option:

  • Click for Anonymous Opt-Out. Under this setting, the visitor’s Web actions captured by Coremetrics, including the data collected in its reporting, will be anonymous. All actions are grouped with all other anonymous visitors.
  • Click for Total Opt-Out. The data is not collected by Coremetrics' data collection front-end servers and, consequently, is not included in Coremetrics reporting.
  • Click to opt-in. This setting will again allow Coremetrics to capture all Web actions and includes the data collected in Coremetrics reporting.
  • View Current Opt-out Status.
